We all look at those Equestrian lifestyle magazines, websites and IG accounts and daydream about what we could do with our homes if we just had the money. The biggest thing I notice about these images…is the lack of clutter…or the choice of deliberate placement. There’s also typically one large image on the wall (be it a photograph or a painting). It’s also often about the careful mixing of old and new that can be particularly stunning. Creating that in your home is a level of dedication and awareness you have to learn…however finding these precious objects and high impact images to add to your home or office space can be as inexpensive or expensive as you like. Why spend $100 on a generic piece of art from World Market or Hobby Lobby or some sort place when you can get a more upscale and customized look for similar prices elsewhere? It does take a bit more searching, but it’s worth the effort. The goal is to make it look like you have a curated collection you’ve been working on for years…vs just putting up whatever home decor people are telling you to buy now.
I done some of the work for you and put together some beautiful antique (or antique look alike) items that will bring interest to your home and some big, dramatic pieces of art (most you can get printed to the size that works for your space…big or small. These special items will bring questions about your collection from your guests. They might even inspire envy because of your obviously well traveled life and equestrian collection gathered from around the world (even if that’s not the case). Inspire others with your tasteful collection, courtesy of Etsy!
Appaloosa Photograph – a clean background and good contrast takes this appaloosa into many styles and spaces.
Bronze Hunting Charm – another small item that looks like a family heirloom, perfect for a bookshelf or your desk.
Vintage Indian Wooden Sculpture – and another beautiful antique item that would work in a modern space, farmhouse or French country, or an eclectic space and more!
One Line Horse Drawing Art Print – this art print will work well in many spaces including mid century, farmhouse, modern, industrial, and more. It’s just so intriguing to follow the one line and see how the drawing was done…just like that. Such skill!
