I have reviewed a number of products from Equestrian Wellness over the last many months, and this time I’m reviewing the Equestrian Wellness After Sun Cooling Spray. I’m so excited to feature this awesome company that focuses on …of course…Wellness for equestrians and also provides a number of healthy alternative products using people friendly ingredients. Thank you Valerie for sending a box of products to try and review!
There’s nothing super exciting in terms of photos to share of this product. It’s an after sun spray after all. I suppose I could have taken some photos of my sunburns so far this summer, but…I haven’t. Its lack of “interesting” pictures is no reflection on it’s excellence as a product however. I ended up really loving this one (my surprise second favorite product from Equestrian Wellness). I really had hoped not to have a reason to use this product, but of course…there are always times you just forget.
The first time I needed it this summer was actually during the spring. After being sequestered inside (other than work when I wear full sun coverage gear), my skin hadn’t seen the sun. So when I decided to go for a picnic and wear my flats, it didn’t occur to me to sunscreen the top of my feet. Ouch. A few weeks later I dropped by a horse show for just a short time (like less than an hour) and I didn’t think I needed to worry about sunscreen. Well wouldn’t you know, I had a lovely burn on my shoulders that evening when I got home.
I grabbed this pretty bottle that had been sitting on my vanity waiting for action and sprayed some on right away in both instances. After 24 hours and a couple of quick spritz applications, the burns faded. The Cooling Spray does just that and the ingredients help to sooth angry skin. It has nice glass packaging (that looks pretty in your house) like the other products from the brand and it is a perfect amount of product for a summer. Not too much that you’ll not get through it in the hot months, but not too little that you’ll need to reorder. It has a wonderful refreshing scent that isn’t too strong.
I think the value is good for the amount of product you get, quality, packaging and performance and would absolutely consider buying a second bottle next summer once this bottle is used up!
It’s currently sold out (as of July 29, 2020), but Valerie restocks things pretty regularly so keep an eye out for it!
