I love Kastel Denmark. I think I’m a bit of a broken record on that now…but I do love them and what they’re putting out. However, they’ve not managed a perfect 10/10 from me…until now. I have nothing to say about the Indigo Lithograph Leaf Crewneck Sweater except it is perfection. I could just end the review there…but I won’t.
First off…I love this print. I loved it in gray. I loved it in lilac. I adore it in indigo. It was screaming to be done in blue and I think they knocked it out of the park. It is so pretty on that I’ve gotten compliments on it every time I’ve worn it…and I’ve worn it a lot: To my child’s school for volunteering. To meetings with clients. To lunches with friends and family dinners. Running errands. I’ve worn it literally everywhere except the barn. I’ll never wear it to the barn. I’m not a sweater at the barn kind of gal. I’m a vest kind of gal. That doesn’t mean I don’t love it thought…it means I love it SO much it will never go near a green boogie snorting, fart on me when I clean out your feet monster. LOL.
It’s not just the print that I love though. This sweater could have gone all sorts of wrong. I have a lot of opinions on sweaters. Yarn quality, softness, pilling, shape retention, fading…I’m pretty picky (I’m a knitter after all). I adore this sweater. The fit is flattering from the get go, and it doesn’t get all stretched out of shape after wearing it for a while…or several times…without washing it. It’s super easy to care for (cold water, lay flat dry). It hasn’t stained at all (but again I’m keeping it away from the barn). It’s not faded one bit or shown any pilling. So far I’m super impressed.
It’s also the perfect light weight. It’s perfect for spring and fall…and great for layering when it’s colder. The best part…the feel. It is SO soft and SO cozy and SO comfortable I can’t wait for Kastel to come out with it in more prints…or even some solids honestly. It’s my favorite light weight sweater that I own…and I own a lot of expensive ones from fancy brands. This one is best. Honestly it might be my favorite sweater period…no matter the weight. I love it. Pretty please release more!
