I recently did a bit of shopping with Equiluxe, an online equestrian boutique I was recently introduced to (I think they’ve been around a while…I just had my head in the sand I guess). I typically end up ordering from the big old school online stores (you know the ones I’m talking about) or directly from brands for the fun stuff, but to find a shop that carries a LOT of the really exciting brands on the market all in one place is pretty awesome. I ordered some Spur Straps from Halter Ego for my first order I wanted to wear to a show. I was so impressed with the purchase I was happy to collaborate on an article with the company when I was asked! So thank you for thinking of us for an article about your awesome shop. <3
What I really enjoyed about this shop is that his has a more European feel. What I mean by that is…they have a lot of really good, curated brands/things, but also carry some of the necessities. I get tired of Dover…and SmartPak with their really unfortunate store brand stuff seeming to take over their stock. It’s great and all to go in and grab some supplements or basic bathing stuff…but if you want to buy clothing or accessories or nice tack…you’re a little underwhelmed. What is nice about a place like Equiluxe is the brands being carried (there are several foreign brands who’s shipping is usually VERY expensive). I don’t have to shop 3 different websites to get a wardrobe upgrade. They have done a great job curating the products they sell. As you might have guessed from the hundreds of reviews I’ve done, I’m pretty picky about what I buy. So to see a bunch of the brands I love all in one place is super. I mean for example…Novella, Sixteen Cypress, Equisite Elements of Style, Kastel, Canter Culture, Yaga, Halter Ego, Correct Connect, Haas, MASEGO Horsewear, Horseware Ireland, Rebel Equestrian, Street & Saddle, Rönner, Tucker Tweed, and the Infused Equestrian. Not bad eh? Most of the brands I’m shopping these days minus just a couple. The horse care/stable supplies sections could use some more developing, but their selection of riding clothes and tack is excellent.
So why did I order spur straps from Equiluxe instead of straight from Halter Ego since I was just ordering one thing? Well…simple. Free shipping. Halter Ego charges for shipping up to a certain spend (which the spur straps are less than). Equiluxe offers free shipping on all US orders and the shipping is very quick! Well on my first order (the spur straps were here in 2 days!). The second one I ordered a shirt from Street & Saddle which was made-to-order so it took a few weeks to be made. Obviously that one wasn’t a quick ship because it was made-to-order, but I knew that when ordering it. Once shipped it was quick. Equiluxe also offers free International Shipping if you spend over $250. It was a no-brainer to pick them over the company website.
My second order was two brands I’d wanted to try for a while and a classic. I ordered a new Novella shirt (well new to me) because I love these shirts and their prints. Did I need a new one? No. Have I been wanting this one for a while? Yes. Done. So cute. I also picked up a Street & Saddle Milton Menasco Gimme Ribbon Equestrian Top (this was the made to order shirt) because I saw a girl at the barn with it and it’s gorgeous. And I thought the ribbon top would be really snappy under my Shadbelly instead of a stock tie. I also picked up (not that I need a new schooling pad AT ALL) a gorgeous cognac/herringbone pad from Sixteen Cypress because it was beautiful…and I’d not tried the brand before. I’ll probably give a couple of these items their own review in the near future. However, now I may need to order custom boots to match this pad…I’ve been wanting brown ones for years so maybe it’s time.
The website is super easy to navigate. If you want to shop by category, its easy to do. Shop by brand? Easy to do. Has all the filters for size/price/in or out of stock/price/etc. It is easy to find what you need and the obvious search bar helps if your looking for a specific item. I haven’t had to return anything but they have an excellent return policy. They offer 120 day returns for (even for used items). Lifetime returns for store credit (which is excellent…and insane)! There are some exceptions to that of course (like safety equipment)…but you know…it’s what you’d expect.
So far I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Equiluxe and I’ll be coming back to shop with them in the future most certainly! Highly recommend this online boutique.
More motivation for shopping…Equiluxe is offering 20% off for their Black Friday sale running from November 28 – December 3rd, so make sure to check that out (I know I will be)!
I should also mention, like many shops they do offer a coupon with email sign up (currently 10% off your first order)…so do that to save a little money. I’m not sure that’s going to work with the Black Friday sale, but it’s worth a go.
