I recently did a bit of shopping with @equiluxetac

I recently did a bit of shopping with @equiluxetack - an online equestrian boutique I was recently introduced to. I typically end up ordering from the big old school online stores (you know the ones I’m talking about) or directly from brands for the fun stuff, but to find a shop that carries a LOT of the really exciting brands on the market all in one place is pretty awesome. I've made two orders from them and I'm happy to have a new great shop to order from with so many of the brands I love.

Freestyle became a lifestyle for me this last year

Freestyle became a lifestyle for me this last year and a half. Now we've moved on to other goals for the meantime...but the experience gave me a lot of lessons, reasons to be proud, and most importantly changed the way I feel about showing.

Huge thanks to @sandrabeaulieu.official for all of her inspiration and materials she offers to help break down the experience. Lucky for you...she now has an online course...but I had to piece it together from her book and free materials. Lucky you!

Well our first PSG together is in the books. Did I get my Silver Medal this weekend? No...but I didn't really expect to. We did get my highest PSG scores to date however...and I'm very pleased with the 58.8% we got for our first attempt. As my friend said "dangerously close to a 60%" <3

If you've been here long, you know the changes haven't been easy for this horse and the weakness always rears its head at shows...even when home is going fine. But it's okay. I expect by our next show in April, it won't be a problem anymore as the lightbulb has been coming on.

Many people would not have chosen to move up a level with him yet...and that's okay. I'm not one of those people. I've had my fair share of tragedy, loss, and starting over to know how quickly all that work can just disappear...so why not get some guts and give it a try? What's it going to hurt? You never know what will happen! (Helps that I'm an AA and this horse isn't for sale and I don't care about a few bad scores on his record...and I'm not easily embarrassed). 😊

Oh and I 100% wore my @maybabesequestrian tights with my shadbelly...LOL. No shame.

It is that time of year again! Jax has gotten so woolly and it has been so hot I could't wait until November this year. I have had the Andis ZR Pulse for a couple of years and got the purple ones in a giveaway last year. Having two pair made clipping go so much faster this year being able to rest them when they got hot and switch out and not have to wait! The ceramic blades have REALLY held up without sharpening as well. Highly recommend!
