So I recently revealed my favorite brushes…and talked about the transition season life safer that is Coat Defense. However today I’m going to talk about my very favorite grooming item in my trunk – The Epona Tiger Tongue.
Why is it my favorite? Oh let me count the ways.
- It’s super lightweight and easy to hold.
- It’s incredibly easy to clean (hose it off and air dry).
- It lasts a good amount of time for a sponge (like 6 months or so of regular use) and is inexpensive to replace.
- You can groom with it…you can give a bath with it…you can shed out hair with it.
- Speaking of grooming…did I mention it gets off gunk with ease? Caked on mud…no problem. Manure…easy! Salt from sweat…piece of cake. And of course it’s great for rubbing off dust and dander in a swipe…and sweat marks. And it’s gentle enough to use on sensitive horses in sensitive areas. Jax loves it being rubbed on his face. LOVES it.
- It comes vacuum sealed…so you can have a few on hand without taking up a ton of space.
Honestly…I could wax poetic about how much I love the Tiger Tongues…but I think that all of the above are great reasons to try it out if you haven’t yet. They can sometimes be a little hard to find locally, but you can get them in a number of online shops and on Amazon as well. I’m going to keep buying the Tiger Tongue for as long as they keep selling them!
