First of I must say this box design is SO pretty. My daughter had a complete toddler explosion of excitement over the box on the steps (much less excited by the contents). I’ll for sure be keeping this one to organize things…or perhaps I’ll give it to my daughter.
Individual Item Thoughts
Kong Equine Mega Wubba – Jax will love this I think. If not, a neighbor horse will. A very useful item and it will be a good test to see how these horse Kongs hold up! I’d have rather had a purple one, but that’s really not important. It takes up most of the very large box.
Back on Track Physio Nikki Support Socks – I love Back on Track stuff, so I’m excited to try these. They aren’t pretty, but they should be handy. I probably would have rather received these in a fall box to get the most out of them, but I have a messed up foot and ankle, so I might give these a go next ride.
Honey & Hank Bit Tea Towel – It’s cute. I got the one I’d prefer of the two, but it doesn’t match my house at all. I would have preferred something a bit more neutral, but that’s just me. I’ll either use this at the barn as a rag or I’ll give this one away.
Dapplebay Good Rides Pack – Super excited about this as I love my one from last year (or…was it longer ago than that). I do regret no belt on this one as I’ll have to maybe steal another one, but I love that it’s a little bigger (my new phone is bigger). I also love the color because it will go better with some of my warmer toned barn clothes than the gray one does. It won’t be replacing the old one, but it will be added in the rotation. I like having two pockets too as I can keep my horse treats or keys separate from my phone. It has a magnet flap on the back instead of loops to hold to the belt, so we’ll see how well that works sitting trot. It may not. The stitching on this isn’t as clean as I would normally expect from Dapplebay with the stitching around the badge quite messy. Retail value seems high as it seems like a cheaper material version of what Leah is selling on her own site. It’s also missing the extra tab/loop for hooking to keys or a strap…so I think maybe saying the retail is the same is a little bit of a stretch. Happy to have this one in the box.
Unicorn Grooming Spray – Always excited to try more grooming products. Appreciate that this comes as a concentrate for shipping. I love natural grooming products so I’m excited to use this. I do think that the size is a little small for the price…this is maybe 8 0z (not marked) for $19 when the 32oz on their website is only $24. So I think the retail value claimed on this is a little high. Happy to try anyway.
Fairchild Farm & Mercantile Handmade Goat’s Milk Soap – I love soap. I make my own soap. This one is a cute horse design. I probably won’t like it better than my own, but I’m happy to try it out. Not super pumped or disappointed in this one. It smells nice too.
Blue Ribbon Beauty Satin Lipstick in Coral Sorrel – I actually already own this lipstick and really love it…so I’ll be passing this one along as a gift for someone. I do really like it and think it is a nice addition to the box.
The Plaid Horse Magazine – not sure if this is just a freebie thrown in, but sure. I’m not a hunter / jumper person…so I’m not sure how valid this is for me. I may just use it to cut out some pretty photos for vision boards. This one seems oddly specific for a box that goes to people riding a ton of different disciplines.
Overall Thoughts
This box wasn’t super inspiring this time for me. The actual artwork on the box is spectacular. The best design yet I think! The curation left a little to be desired for me once I received the box and actually had a look at all of it. There just wasn’t a big excitement factor this time. Everything in here is usable and I’ll probably only re-home two things, but it just lacked a little sparkle for me I expect from the Cavali Club Boxes. Probably the lack of a large housewares item maybe. Not really sure. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still happy I got this box and didn’t skip! I’ll probably get the next one too. It’s still an excellent value for a bunch of cool stuff that I might or might not buy otherwise and I look forward to the spoilers every quarter!
