Living and working on a farm, its hard to find apparel that will last through multiple seasons, situations and applications. Sometimes I can be hesitant to buy nice, quality apparel in fears that it will be destroyed. But as they always say you get what you pay for, and Kimes Ranch is a perfect example of that!

When I first received the Betty 17 jeans, to be honest I wasn’t sure how well they would hold up. I was expecting a thick denim, similar to Miss Me or Tuff brand jeans. But this denim was not as thick, and actually slightly stretchy. The Kimes Jean Betty 17 style is made from a tri blend technology that holds its shape. A quality ring spun denim is used for the construction of the Betty 17 style which allows a greater tear strength for confidence in the saddle and around the farm.

I ALWAYS have a hard time with fit, I have short thicker legs and it is hard to find an appropriate fit with the correct inseam measurements. The Betty 17 is a mid rise fit with a sand and rinse wash for a lighter look and style. When I consulted with Kimes Ranch Jeans I gave them my exact measurements and the size they chose was fairly spot on except for the length. They do offer a VERY convenient fit guide on the Kimes Ranch website that compares the Kimes sizing to other similar brands. Their sizes run slightly bigger than others, I usually fall between a standard size 2 to a 4 and the pair of jeans I received were a 0 in Kimes sizing. The shortest inseam option was a 32, I measure a 28 1/2 so the jeans were VERY long for my body type. I tried rolling the ends up, but shavings and dirt was getting trapped in that little pocket. J ended up having them altered and two inches hemmed from the bottom.

I was very impressed at how well the Betty 17 style jeans wore and washed, I usually hung them to dry and they did not stiffen up or get “tighter” after washing like some jeans have done in the past. Even when mounting horses, bending down to pick up feed bags, or working in the saddle, these jeans never felt like they would rip or be restrictive to what I needed to do!

Kimes Ranch Jeans offers so many options as far as apparel, jeans, and outerwear for every body type, style, and need. Do not let the price deter you, I expect these jeans ro last a LONG time with how well they are made and how comfortable they have been in and out of the saddle. Prices are $99 to $120 retail depending on the style you purchase.. The sizes range from 000-14 and they do offer different inseam options as well for each style! I was really impressed with the versatility and strength of the Betty 17 style from Kimes Ranch Jeans.
