Living where I live, I am always carrying around layers. It may be forecast to get up to 90 degrees, but when I arrive at the barn at 8:00 AM…it might be in the low 60s (or lower), misty (from the fog) and windy. It may get cold in the evening when I’m out trail riding, our weather is so variable. A thin, warm layer is just what I need every day. The Premier Fleece Vest from Noble Outfitters is my new go-to vest for these kinds of up and down spring/summer days (and I know I will use it all year round).
The material is like a super nice sweatshirt (with stretch) with a smooth outer look and a soft fleece inside. It’s very lightweight and doesn’t restrict movement in the slightest. The two way zipper is invaluable for both riding and when I need a little ventilation but I don’t want to shed the layer yet. The zippers are heavy duty and I am not worried about them failing in any near future. The zipper pockets are perfectly sized and will easily hold a cell phone, a number of horse treats, or just your hands.
I found the greyed out navy color stunning. The quilted detail at the bottom, metal logo and ribbon detail around the zipper are beautiful details that add a lot to what could have been a simple vest. The ribbon and fleece design on the inside add a little extra. It’s not the most flattering vest I own, but it’s not the least flattering either. It more than makes up for that with its usability and quality.
I’m super impressed with the quality of everything on this vest. It is well made and thoughtfully designed. Along with it’s high quality and classic style, it is extremely comfortable and does its job as a light layer very well. It has held up to washing and drying with no problems and still looks brand new. I have no concerns about this vest at all.
If you’re looking for a light layer this spring, I highly recommend you try the Premier Fleece Vest from Noble Outfitters. It has become a permanent staple in my car in case I need an extra bit of warmth at the barn.
