A big thanks to ACE Equestrian for sending one of their stylish belts to review!  I was sent one of their new release copper metal belts in Olive.   I love elastic belts for riding!  I was given a leather and elastic belt a couple years ago and I’ve basically worn it to death.  It was quite pricey, so I was looking for a more reasonable alternative.   The belts from ACE Equestrian fit the bill nicely!

ACE Equestrian Belt Review

This belt is very attractive and I was immediately impressed by the gorgeous hardware.  I loved the deep olive color and it’s perfectly complimenting to the 2018 color of the year – violet.  It’s also gorgeous with Millennial Pink…so if that’s your jam, this belt is going to be a favorite.  Style-wise this belt is spot on.  It’s a little tricky to get through the loops at times, but it is just because of the wide design of the hardware.  It’s a wide belt and works well with the newer wide belt loops on some very popular breeches.  It sadly doesn’t fit most of my full seat breeches, so barn use for me will be limited.  I’ve been wearing it regularly with my jeans however and it’s replaced my daily go-to belt.  It’s very comfortable.

ACE Equestrian Belt Review

It is made of a quite stiff elastic that feels like it won’t stretch out and wear out under regular use.  The hardware is copper-plated, but the plating is very well done and I don’t anticipate any wear issues for a LONG time.  The hardware is completely rounded with no sharp edges for comfort (so isn’t just a direct use of cheap blanket strap hardware).  I did notice that the elastic is very easy to snag and I pretty much got it snagged right away on something at the barn.  The elastic also indents (probably because it’s so stiff), so your belt loops leave permanent marks on the belt.   Those two things give it a little ding for quality (because the elastic used isn’t my favorite), but overall I’m very happy with it.

ACE Equestrian Belt Review

If the style of the ACE Equestrian belts suit you…then the price shouldn’t hold you back.  It’s a comfortable, stylish belt at a reasonable price.  It hasn’t completely replaced my old belt because of the waist band size (darn dressage for not jumping on the wide belt loop trend), but I do love it and wear it regularly with my street clothes!
