PSS 2014 Gala Opening

Pacific Sporthorse Selection 2015

One of my favorite events of the year has come around again to the San Francisco Bay Area (it’s the fourth annual event).  If you haven’t heard of the Pacific Sporthorse Selection Auction and Gala, please read on.  This is a fun and  exciting event…even if you’re not in the market for a new horse.  This year it takes place on August 29th and 30th at Christiane Noelting Dressage Center in Vacaville, CA.  Dressage, Jump and Event horses will be shown and auctioned off in a European auction type setting.  Each horse has been vetted by UC Davis and has X-rays available for viewing.  Test rides are available for those interested in actually getting in on the bidding action and a vet will be on site for any further needs.

I have gone to the Gala Pink Ribbon Fundraiser evening for the past two years, and plan on going again.  This is a fun evening of wine, interesting performances and demonstrations, and vendor shopping.  There is also a breeding season (to either Sir Donnerhall, Furstenball or Bretton Woods) and a Schleese saddle for auction and several things up for raffle.  100% of donations and proceeds from these raffles/auctions go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the California Dressage Society’s youth programs.

This year will be  my first year attending the PSS University.  This year it will host Anne Gribbons, Linda Allen and many other respected professionals to have workshops on various topics.  I am excited to attend PSS University on Saturday and hope to see you there.  You can purchase tickets for the event here.
